Marci Marks

My first guitar was a Martin 0018, growing up in Connecticut. I played guitar, sang and tap danced in a street band in San Francisco, moved to L.A. with my boyfriend who played drums in The Nerves, started the MnMs, with a little help from Paul Collins who went on to form The Beat. The MnMs recorded an EP for Bomp Records, and our first gig was opening for The Plimsouls at The Arena. The MnMs broke up after 6 months rather traumatically, but our single is still bootlegged in Japan, where "I'm Tired" was covered by the Banana Erectors. I've been working in newspapers but recently started playing again around Studio City at a few select gigs.
